According to the state council’s and NDRC’s requirement on accelerating and promoting the development of parking and charging infrastructure, on the afternoon of July 18, the Deputy Director, Department of Basic Industries, Mr. Jian Zheng hosted an exchange conference on the issues of the second 2016 urban parking lot expanding charging infrastructure project with the local development and reform commissions (Anhui, Jiangsu, jiangxi, Shaanxi, Zhejiang, Hubei, Shanghai, Dalian, Xiamen and other places), charging infrastructure service enterprises, and State Grid Corporation of China.

The situation and demand of the national charging facilities construction were discussed during the conference, and the measures to promote the construction of charging facilities in combination with the construction of parking lots were also mentioned and studied. In the next step, relevant work will be further promoted according to the actual situation and existing issues of the integration construction of parking lots and charging infrastructure, especially the shortage of parking resources in big cities and megacities, the problems of multiple investment subjects in  public parking lots and relatively single profit model of charging facilities enterprises.
